Weight Goals

I started at 179. I'm down to 166!! And have 12 more days to go. To lose the 6 pounds I need to get to as my goal. Ultimate goal would be 150, but my practical goal was 160. :)

Not so Happy Thanksgiving

Thanksgiving is my favorite food, hands down. Too bad I can't eat ANY of it :( I love stuffing and mashed potatoes and turkey and the PIE. Oh god I love pie. So I'm sitting at home today with mountains of sugar free gum and ignoring the world.

A week Later

I'm down to 171.4 and have lost about an inch of my waist. My boyfriend has said that I look like I've lost weight, and that my face isn't as round.

Food update:
Today for dinner, I got creative. I cut up my chicken for a meal and some carrots, threw them in a saucepan with about 3 cups of water, some season salt, Italian seasoning, garlic powder, basil, and pepper...yay soup! And for dessert...apples with cinnamon and stevia cut up and sprinkled on top...I put them in the microwave for about 15 seconds. Glorious.

Discovery #2

You can use the juice of one lemon daily for cooking. So, why not drinking? Half a lemon squeezed into 32oz of water with a spoonful of stevia mixed in is a fairly decent drink. Not lemonade or anything, but its pretty good. Better than plain water all day.

Discovery

So, I figured I'd expand my horizons, try something new. And yeah, I really don't like fish. Like, at all.

Phase 2: 26 days of Self Control

So it really isn't as bad as I'm making it out to be. Last night I had my coffee, (with stevia, no milk), I had a chicken salad (chicken, lettuce, cucumber), an apple, my melba toast (2 servings), carrots (boiled), serloin, and strawberries. It isn't too bland, although I do miss sauces and dressings. And really want chocolate chip cookies.

By the way. Weight: 179, waist: 40in

Phase 1: Eat whatever you want

So, I started my diet yesterday. You take the drops 3 times a day, and 15 min after you take them, you get to eat whatever you want. What you're doing is stocking your body up in fat. It's pretty sweet. www.hcgdiet.com says that you are supposed to eat whatever you've ever felt guilty for eating. So I made cookies. And ate them all. Guilt free!!

Lunch: 3.5 oz of meat, any reasonable amount of 1 vegetable.
Snack: 1 bread serving.
Dinner: 3.5 oz of meat, 1 fruit serving.
Snack: 1 bread serving, any reasonable amount of 1 vegetable.

If you decide to break your meals up, you do need to make sure you are not eating both fruits or breads at once (e.g. both breads for breakfast, both fruits as a snack).

Preparation Part Duex

So minor miscalculation. All the meat I bought, it's about half as much as I need for the diet. But still. I mean I'm probably going to spend $100 on groceries for myself in the whole month. You can't beat that. Also.

The things I learned today while mass cooking meat to be frozen:
1. 3.5oz of raw chicken weighs -just- about the same when it is cooked
2. 3.5oz of raw sirloin weighs nothing close to 3.5oz when it's cooked. It goes down to about 2oz.
3. Talapia reminds me of how the zoo smells.

So if you are reading this and thinking about doing the hcg diet as well, know that when you make your food, you are supposed to weigh out 3.5oz of meat, then cook it. I've been cooking it, then weighing it, because I'm lazy and that's faster. If you're going to mass cook it like I did, make sure that you do at least once weigh out 3.5oz, cook it, then reweigh it, so you know that your portions are correct.

Important note: fat is bad. Make sure you remove as much fat as you can from the meat before cooking it.

Preparation

So I went to the store today and got some meat and stuffs for my diet. To be honest, I spent about $35 on enough meat for the full diet. I got chicken, sirloin, and talapia. The way I do it, is I cook the meat and seperate it and put it in baggies, then throw it in the freezer until I need it. I need 52 bags of meat to get through the 26 days.  Honestly, the preparation part is probably the hardest.

Shipping: 5-7 days

So I just ordered (like literally 20 minutes ago) my 26 day supply kit of HCG from http://www.hcgdiet.com/ and decided to set up this blog, which I will probably be bad at keeping up on since I work 60ish hours a week. But I will try! I have done the HCG diet before, a little over a year ago, but while being on the diet I had to have my gallbladder removed (the two are completely unrelated) so I had to quit the diet. A friend of mine lost roughly 70lbs on it, as well as my dad. My mom is getting remarried in early January, so I have roughly 60 days to lose 50-80lbs. Wish me luck!

Sidenote: I will be posting pictures, weights, and inches (yay I'm going to find out how big my waistline is! -_-) once I get my camera and scale here (I moved 5 days ago and need to grab the bits and pieces of things that we left at my boyfriend's parents' house).
